AI Tutor
A tutor that asks the next good question
Press "I don't get it" on any question. The tutor looks at your child's working, finds the exact step where it went wrong, and asks a question that helps them see it.
Solve for x
Did you add 6 or take it away?
It checks every step
For problems with several steps, your child writes each line. Eurekami checks each one and points to the first line that breaks, so help lands exactly where it's needed. A child who got four lines right and one wrong shouldn't have to start again from the top.
A worked example
Say the question is: what is 3/4 of 24? Your child writes 24 ÷ 3 = 8 and gets stuck. A typical exchange goes like this:
- Tutor: "The bottom number of 3/4 tells us how many equal parts. How many equal parts should 24 be split into?"
- Your child writes 24 ÷ 4 = 6.
- Tutor: "Good, so one quarter of 24 is 6. How many quarters do we need?"
- Your child writes 6 × 3 = 18.
The tutor didn't say 18. Your child found it, and now knows which number does which job in a fraction. If they had still been stuck after a real try, the tutor would then show the full worked answer, one line at a time.
Help comes as a ladder
- First, a hint written for that question
- Then "I don't get it", which looks at your child's own working
- Then guiding questions, one at a time
- Only after a real try, the full worked answer with every step explained
It never states a wrong number
Before the tutor says anything, every number and expression in its reply is checked by a math engine. If something doesn't match, the reply is replaced. Children trust a tutor completely, so a confident wrong answer does real harm. This check is there to stop that.
Why questions instead of answers
When a child is shown the answer, the work feels finished, but the next question is just as hard. When they find the broken step themselves, they practice exactly the thinking the question was testing. Guiding questions take a little longer, and that's on purpose.
Talk or type
Children can type or tap the microphone and speak. Speech is turned into text on our own servers and the recording is deleted straight away. Younger children who can explain their thinking out loud, but not yet in writing, can still get help. The tutor works in English and Spanish.
What the AI sees
When the tutor needs an AI model, it sends the question, your child's working and their age band. Names and contact details are removed first, and voice recordings and photos are never sent to third parties.
What it won't do
- It won't hand over an answer before your child has tried.
- It won't let help count as mastery. Skills done with tutor help come back until your child can do them alone.
- It won't replace a teacher who knows your child. It's for the moment they're stuck at home and no one is free to sit with them.
Who it's for
The tutor works inside Daily Practice, lessons, Snap and Exam Prep, from early arithmetic to algebra and beyond. The free plan includes three tutor helps a day; Eurekami Plus makes it unlimited.
