Warm-up · 5 min
- Quick retrieval from earlier learning (Interior angles of polygons). Students answer on mini whiteboards.
- Show answers together and note who needs support in the main task.
- A 7-sided polygon has angles 131°, 134°, 123°, 130°, 131°, 125° and x°. Find x. → 126Prompt: The interior angles add to (7 − 2) × 180°.
- A 5-sided polygon has angles 110°, 102°, 105°, 105° and x°. Find x. → 118Prompt: The interior angles add to (5 − 2) × 180°.

- Show a photo of a building, a tile pattern or a road sign and ask what shapes and angles students can spot.
- Share the objective: Exterior angles of regular polygons. Read the success criteria together.

- Example: What is each exterior angle of a regular polygon with 10 sides?
- Step 1: 360 ÷ 10 = 36°
